New game for the office: Elevator Chicken
Here’s a little game I’ve been playing lately in the elevators at work (weird yes, but I win every time). I’m sure everyone has been in this situation, next time give it a try.
- Enter elevator with 3+ people inside
- Elevator makes stop, leaving only you and 1 other person
- That person’s placement in the elevator happens to be either directly in front or behind you
- Don’t move. See who gives in to the awkwardness first
- 99% of the time it will be them. Create a mental notebook of longest times without movement
- You’re a winner
*Another option is to play this game with 2 or more friends when you enter an empty elevator together. When that elevator stops at another floor and others enter, they’ll definitely think something is wrong with you (co-ed play is encouraged to prevent improper thoughts by non-players).
