After seeing brother Eli in the headlines for getting hitched and then this photo essay of the tail Derek Jeter has pulled, I wondered - is Peyton Manning gay? Other than accepting every endorsement opportunity thrown at him, you don’t see/hear much of him off the field, especially in the 2 main categories of athlete straightness - chicks and beer.

For instance, Brother Eli went out of his way to prove his coolness and straightness with this photo a few years back:

“Look at me, I’m wasted and I’m gonna score! College! I only had to tell her I’m QB1 2 times to get my arm around her.”

With the power of Google, I set off to discover the notches in Peyton’s bedpost or even (no way!) a Mrs. Manning.

First off, I learned that this is NOT Mrs. Manning (it’s actress Taryn Manning), but was OK with the detour in the name of research.

Next, I came across this picture and assumed it’s just an image from Peyton’s Purina endorsement I didn’t know about. This woman must be the head of the Indianapolis Dog Rescue Foundation, not Peyton’s bed partner.

Black dog’s butt placement is questionable.

Then came this picture, which still didn’t end my quest for knowledge. The puppy face and poor choice of facial hair makes me think this is a picture of college Peyton, so she must be a lab partner that wanted a picture with Tennessee’s quarterback before graduating.

Then came the eliminator. This image came from an Indianapolis Woman Magazine article from 2006 titled “Mrs. Manning.” Even with the football under her arm, I assumed that there could be hundreds of other Manning women in Indianapolis that are into football. Maybe, but this one is Peyton’s.

“Her days are filled with projects and interests far beyond her famous husband’s job as the quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts.”

Turns out the last 3 pictures all are Ashley Manning. I guess no one knows who she is because her husband sticks to breaking records and stacking money instead of killing dogs or dating models/singers. He’s straight. Case closed.
