YepYep design update
Howdy!
A couple new things to note:
- YEPYEPedia - This is a Wiki for the site. What’s a wiki, you ask? It’s “A website or similar online resource which allows users to add and edit content collectively” and the most famous one is Wikipedia. Basically, it’s the place where you should submit all content for the site. It’s real easy to use and there are instructions on the page. I created this so:
- You don’t have to feel awkward emailing me nothing but a link
- Sharing content for YepYep will be easier
- You can be anonymous and still submit stuff
- Daily Boom - Everyday there will be one post that has the following logo on it. This signifies the top content of the day. If you’re only stopping by for a minute, this is the one thing you should check out. I’ll give you a cookie if you submit that day’s Daily Boom via the YEPYEPedia.
- Flickr Widget - There’s always been an orange Flickr widget in the right column of the page, but now it features only images that have appeared on YepYep. No longer do you have to look at my pretty pictures of sunsets.
- Sidebar Redesign - This is still a work in progress, but you’ll notice that I’ll feature links to some of the most popular content (BOOMS!) from there. The main purpose is to help you discover something sweet you might have missed.

Expect to see this exact post a few more times. Maybe by the 5th time you’ll read it all. Use the YEPYEPedia! I realize it’s not very pretty, but the “free” version has lots of design limitations.
