I posted this link by The Love Of Sports last week about the Top 10 Athletes To Watch Your Girl Around and didn’t think to question it. Then I heard a rumbling from some of YepYep’s female readers and commissioned a Guest Contributor Lady (the gf) to scribe the list from a girl’s POV.

So here’s The Top 10 Athletes To Watch Your Girl Around List, written by a girl:

10. Jesse Palmer

He can handle a football (kinda sorta) and 25 women at the same time. (Please note: appearance on the Bachelor = tool status, but his good looks ultimately trumped that for this list)

9. Cristiano Ronaldo

Soccer sure is boring to watch but I guarantee he could get any gal hooked on his skills in no time!

8. Jeremy Bloom

Ski-ing. Football-ing. Wow-ing. Better to avoid all slopes and the city of Philadelphia with your special friend if this guy is around.

7. Brett Favre

Ah yes, the token sexy redneck! And every woman knows he is one passionate guy. Swooning…

6. Tony Parker

He speaks french and scoops his lady up like that, are ya kiddin me? All it would take is a simple ‘Bonjour’, fellas.

5. Andy Roddick

He’s got that boyish charm, and is seemingly down to earth with serious goofball potential. Sadly, he’s already engaged to this one:

4. Reggie Bush

What a smile! The washboard abs don’t hurt either. For some of you, there’s no need to worry about your lady around him if she lacks junk in the trunk. (We’re talkin’ Kim Kardashian style junk.)

3. Kelly Slater

He’s a surfer… ’nuff said. Keep an eye on your lady anywhere he might be showing off on his longboard.

2. Tom Brady

If you think your girl is watching football because of you, think again! I bet it drives most guys absolutely mad that he’s both model material and a beast on the field. Proceed with caution if you and your lady ever pass by this QB.

1. Jason Taylor

He’s the total package. And have you seen him on the dance floor ?!! He could sweep any woman off her feet with his moves, no doubt about it. He may not be every woman’s #1 (professional athlete), but he certainly is mine!

Honorable Mentions (And why they didn’t quite make the cut)

• Lance Armstrong - Debatable. Verdict still out on whether or not he and Matthew McConaughey are the next Ace and Gary. “Lance Armstrong tells Details that he and Matthew aren’t gay…but they certainly have gay nicknames for each other.”
• David Beckham – Generally overrated, but deserves a shout out. Even still, he has a high voice and wears scarves.
• A-Rod - Working against him? He’s a known cheater.
