Clothes For The Sweaty Business Professional
While public transportation is convenient when it comes to beating traffic and saving money, it sucks in the Summer when temperatures reach 90+ degrees. There’s nothing worse than the typical hot summer workday morning:
- Get the back-sweat in motion on walk to train
- End up crammed on train next to Newman
- Walk a few blocks to office, hope no one you know is waiting for elevator
- Sit at computer for an hour until you finally cool down
- Cross your fingers that extra strength deodorant actually works
A number of companies have been working to help men fight the perspiration battle. Here’s what they’ve come up with:
Japanese menswear company Aoki has developed the Farago Aircool Suit, which both emits deodorant and has an antibacterial effect. It also still manages to look rather stylish:
Then there’s the nerdy version of the same concept, the USB Air Conditioned Shirt. The shirt is either battery or computer (USB) powered and has 2 fans to cool off the backsweat you got goin on from walking to the office.

The Cool Shirt is actually made for race car drivers, but don’t let that stop you from starting a new fashion trend. It hooks up to a cooler and circulates the freezing water through the shirt. This is for serious sweaters only.
I don’t know anything about this suit, but it came up in an image search and is likely to have some cooling and time-traveling powers.
