Nobody should be allowed to sing the national anthem unless they know what it’s about. Does she even know about the battle of Baltimore during the war of 1812? If she did, she wouldn’t have tried to turn this into some kind of breathy, sensual experience. I’m sure not one of her listeners had any idea of what the song is really trying to convey.

The National Anthem isn’t going to EVER be some sort of pop song or rap song .. quit trying to put “soul” into the song and sing it like you’re supposed to! Sheesh! It’s pathetic and every time I’m in the crowd you hear the rumbling from fans about it .. STOP IT! You’re NOT cool!

I don’t think it was that bad but she did come across like she was trying too hard to add her own twist to the anthem. She shouldv’e just kept it simple.

yall are dumb. they didnt boo her at all. the eagle start coming out as soon as the song is over and they boo the eagles. the song was not that good but not that bad. She had a great song last summer with Akon called “dreaming”. I’m not a fan of hers as I am 33 years old and don’t really like that bubble gum pop bullshit but they did not boo her.
