Tech nerd or not, everyone has a digital camera these days.  Your mom, your annoying friend at the bar, the guy in the window across the street, everyone.  That said, doesn’t it feel like you fail to see the majority of pictures  you’re in?  Even though digital simplifies the sharing process, most people are lazy.  Any of these sound familiar?

  • The download/upload/leftload/rightload process takes too long
  • Which cable do I use?
  • I’ll do it when I feel like it
  • I have way too many pictures on my memory card

As the designated photo guy, I’ve become accustomed to people nagging me to upload or email them pictures.  I’m a lot slower than I used to be, but the fine folks at Eye-Fi hooked me up with a product that expedites the process and upgrades your camera.

The Eye-Fi Card and its magical wireless powers are a no-brainer to replace your current digital camera’s storage card.  Since it can sync up to your wireless network, there’s no need to ever plug your camera into your computer to download photos.  But that’s not all!  You can also:

  • Upload photos or videos directly to your favorite sites – Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, etc
  • Automatically geotag photos (awesome)
  • Share photos when you’re away from the computer via Hotspot Access
  • Out-nerd your techie friends by being the first to have this

If my above explanation didn’t make sense, here’s the cheesy infomercial version:

Santa confirmed that he has a surplus of Eye-Fi cards, so be sure to ask.

Without an Eye-Fi card, how would we have shared the picture so quickly and known we were in Cincinnati?
