Remember how great this song/video were? This takes me back to high school…

Saw this on I Read Banned Books:

An educator friend of mine forwarded me this gem via email.

How would you pronounce this student’s name: “Le-a”?

Leah? NO
Lee - A?  NOPE
Lay - a?  NO WAY
Lei?  Guess Again.

It’s pronounced “Ledasha.”  Oh, yes, you read it right.  This child attends a school in Livingston Parish, LA. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong.  If you see something come across
your desk like this, please remember to pronounce it correctly.

When the mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she said, “The dash don’t be silent.”

Since the first iFlashback got a pretty good response, I thought I’d look back into something else. The first thing that I deemed worthy of research was the Blue Chip class of girl pop stars in the year 2000. They are easily comparable to Michigan’s famed Fab Five recruiting class that included Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, and those other 2 guys.

This class of hotness and who-cares vocals was led by Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Pink, and those other 2 girls (Mandy Moore and Willa Ford).

Since so much has changed for them in 8 years, let’s take a happy look into what they used to look like. Make it to the bottom of the post so you can see what they all look like now.

Might as well lead off with the one that has fallen the furthest…Britney Spears:
